Challenge
Swiss restaurants reopened on 11 May 2020. What was needed was a low-cost, sustainable alternative to acrylic glass partitions – immediately.
Solution
Partitions made of 100 % recyclable honeycomb cardboard (Re-Board): stable, printable and efficient to cut. Printed and cut by JCM Werbetechnik, orderable through a dedicated online shop.
Result
8 days from idea to first delivery. More than 10,000 partitions sold in one year and a spin-off company with two employees.
Realised in 8 (!) days
Eight days passed from the first idea to the first delivery – including a simple online shop that we set up with external partners so that restaurateurs could order directly.
Low-cost & sustainable
The material is 100 % recyclable honeycomb cardboard. It is surprisingly stable, printable and efficient to cut – and after use it simply goes into the cardboard recycling. The project gave rise to the company RecycleWorks GmbH.
